六年级暑假英语日记

Today I went to a new class.Here I met many new faces. At first, I felt a little afraid and uncomfortable. I was afraid that I wouldn’t be accepted here, that I would have problems getting on well with others, that I couldn’t catch up with others, and that I couldn’t understand new teachers and classmates.

Now I know I was wrong. Just as the first class begin, as the first word the teacher said to me, as the first smile appeared on my face, I realized I had been a ‘real’member of this class.

But there are things I’m not yet used to, such as I don’t know a lot of words, and I always do things slowly. My ears are not good, but I’ve tried to catch every word the teacher says, and I can mostly understand her, and I usually know what she wants us to do, though a few words are not known. I’ll try my best to follow my teacher and classmates and someday I can walk with them side by side, I believe.

At weekends we have no lessons, but we have many interesting activities. On Saturday afternoon, we watched the movie Forrest Gump in the classroom. It’s a good movie. It’s very moving, sad and happy. You can learn a lot from the movie. Forrest is stupid but he’s also very clever.

On Sunday we had singing contest. I am one of the contesants. My song’s name is One Love. It’s a song of Blue, a British music group. I went into the “Final Seven”. But other contestants were really excellent. I didn’t get any prizes. Another contestant from our class called Candy was the third-place winner. Congratulations to her! Though I didn’t get prizes, I was very happy. I tried my best.

P.S: All the contestants were girls except me!

Today is Wednesday. It’s the third day of the summer camp. The weather isn’t very good. It reined all the time, and the wind blowed strongly. So I don’t feel happy. And the umbrella is too small for two persons my sister and me water always fell down into my shoes, so my feet got wet. It’s uncomfortable. I think it was really a bad day.

Today, we saw two films, but we only saw half of them. Lion King is very interesting. Tomorrow we will finish watching that. I hope this will get a good ending. Also our Chinese teacher changed a lot. I started to listen to his lessons.

This evening, we three taught Cathy about the language in my hometown. We said a word and then she guessed. She is really very clever. She can

understand most of me said, and Mr.Zhang told us something about the ways to study English. I don’t agree with him. I think everyone has his (her) own best way to study English, right?

I hope tomorrow it will be sunny and we can travel around Zhejiang University, I hope so. That’s all.
